Country Artists And Booze Brands.

Country Artists And Booze Brands.

Dr. Wetbrain and Harold have been listening to a country music radio station lately. The doctor looked over to Harold and made a profound comment. “Did you notice how most of the country songs deal with beer, whiskey and pick-up trucks.

“And love.” Harold added.

“I don’t know about love.” Wetbrain replied. Of course, you don’t, Harold thought to himself.

“But we should look into how many country artists own their own brand of beer or whiskey”, Dr. Wetbrain stated.

Ends up there are plenty. Here are a few country entrepreneurs for starters.

Willie Nelson – Old Whiskey River Bourbon.

Distilled by Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc., this 86 proof Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey was made with the thought of Willie Nelson’s 1978 song ‘Whiskey River” in mind.

This fine whiskey is aged in charred American oak barrels for 6 years. Each of the good looking ‘Old Whiskey River Bourbon’ bottles comes with a Willie Nelson’s guitar pick.

Willies drinking songs: Whiskey River, Drinking Champagne, I Gotta Get Drunk, Beer for My Horses, Bloody Mary Morning.

Luke Bryan – Two Lane American Golden Lager.

This 4.2% lager beer was brewed in collaboration with Luke Bryan and Blue Crown Brewing in Daleville, Virginia.

Relaunching in 2020, thanks to the pandemic, Two Lane beer will be delayed and now available in early 2024.

Luke Bryan and Blue Crown Brewing are also launching a Hard Seltzer with 4 flavors – Cherry Limeade, Peach Tea, Blueberry Lemonade and Watermelon Punch.

Luke Bryan’s drinking songs: Drink a Beer, Got a Beer In My Hand, Drinking Again, Take My Drunk Ass Home.

Eric Church – Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select.

Eric Church joined together with Jack Daniels to create Eric Church’s Single Barrel Select. A 94 proof, one-of-a-kind whiskey based on Eric’s fine whiskey taste with a hint of vanilla and caramel.

Eric Church and Jack Daniels released the Single Barrel Select Whiskey on August 3, 2020. With the pandemic, good timing.

Eric Church’s drinking songs: Drink in My Hand, Jack Daniels, Mixed drinks about feeling.

Darius Rucker – Backstage Southern Whiskey.

Debuted in 2017, Darius Rucker, originally from Hootie and the Blowfish made his own whiskey. Backstage Southern Whiskey.

This 84% proof whiskey originated from Darius having a tradition before each show where he would have a backstage toast with all the bandmates.

Backstage Southern Whiskey made by Palmetto Distillery, South Carolina.

Darius Rucker’s drinking songs: Beer and Sunshine, Drinkin’ and Dialin’, Same Beer Different Problem, 7 Days.

Beer, whiskey and pick-up trucks, maybe the odd tractor is what most of the best country music deals with. But that is what makes the music real. Down to earth.

More country music artists and booze brands to come. Stay tuned.

Drunk Fighting With Intimate Partner.

Drunk Fighting with Intimate Partner.

Harold and Dr. Wetbrain one day were listening to a country radio station and came across an awesome song. “Wait In the Truck”. By Hardy, featuring Lainey Wilson. In this song there are a few important lines.

–  “She was bruised and broke from head to toe with a tear with her blood-stained shirt.”

–  “All the whiskey scars I hid.”

What is wrong with these assholes beating up the one they love? So, my question is. Why does alcohol consumption contribute to violent behaviour?

Some experts say that built up inhibitions due to our society status breaks open when the alcohol weakens your mental control center in the brain.

OK a little brain science. Blood through 2 sets of arteries with alcohol gets to your brain. Cerebrum, the largest part of your brain controls all your senses as well as reasoning and emotions. The frontal lobe of the Cerebrum controls personality, behavior and emotions just to mention a few. Emotions like anger or lust.

Note: Personally I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Problem #1 is when you are drunk you just see what is in front of you. Tunnel vision. So, you don’t see the full 360 degrees and future consequences of the situation at hand.

Problem #2 is while drunk, of course you are not thinking properly with excessive alcohol effecting the part of the brain that associates with inhibitions such as anger or lust which at this point you have none.

Noted that 55% of violent partner abuse was due to alcohol consumption.

– In one year 10 million women and men are abused by their intimate partner, drunk and that’s just we know about. Many times, authorities are not called.

11% of homicides are caused due to booze.

Well done song, ‘Wait in The Truck’. Sadly, though I have come across women in the that state of wickedness. I sure wanted to do what the guy in the song did. I fear that I am gutless! Harold your passed out again… Harold!

Spirit of the West – Home For A Rest.

“Harold I was thinking!’ Dr. Wetbrain, suddenly spouted out his great idea. We all had a time in life where we were seriously drunk for a good straight week or two. Then it comes to a point when being drunk gets boring, curing your hangover every morning with a case of beer or two is not fun anymore. It is time to crawl home for a rest. Home to loving, meals, movies, and a real bed.

Harold nodded in agreement. “Few times!” He noted.

Well warm up your truck Harold. We are going to the Central Hotel to see a great band called ‘Spirit of The West”. They have an awesome song all about those good old days.

Listening to the band playing the song ‘Home for A Rest’ with friends was a great night along with the drinking, dancing and laughs. A year later sad news came over the radio. John Mann, the frontrunner for Spirit of The West died at the age of 57.

Due to complications with Alzheimer’s on November 20, 2019, John Mann died with eight of his close friends and family beside his bedside to say goodbye. Guinness beer was his favorite drink. They opened a bottle of Guinness, Hattie his daughter, dabbed some of the beer onto her father’s lips the rest of the bottle was sipped by the family and friends. John was gone shortly after. What a beautiful ending.

Dr. Wetbrain concluded by mentioning how he loves that fast beat Celtic music. You can’t help but to dance to it.

Song – S.O.B. By Nathaniel Rateliff.

“Harold wake-up!” Dr. Wetbrain yells. “We have less then 2 hours to get to an awesome band! Ever hear of Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats?

Harold immediately stood up and said, “S.O.B.!”

“What did you call me!” Mad Dr. Wetbrain shouted with a smirk.

“No, the S.O.B. song!” Harold replied. Dr. Wetbrain concurred with him, “Yes that’s him. Now warm up your beater pick-up and let’s go. Time is a wasting away.”

Singing together off they went down the dirt road on Harold’s old pick-up.

“Son-of-a-bitch were going to have fun!” Dr. Wetbrain yells out the window.

After the show Dr. Wetbrain admits to Harold how he loves that southern upbeat church style music that Nathaniel Rateliff fabulously performed with the song S.O.B..
