Rock Bands with Beer Brands.

Dr. Wetbrain was visiting a good friend that had an unopened can of AC/DC beer. Wetbrain could not believe that a beer made by a famous rock band had not been drunk yet.

At that moment a revelation draped over the Doctor who was now thinking about how many other rock bands have their own beer brands. It ends up that there are many beer brands with well-known rock band ownership.

Here are a few rock bands who own their beer.

AC/DC – Australian Hardrock

Since 1973, over 5 decades AC/DC rock band from Australia rocked the world. The oldest brother George Young once told his younger brothers Malcolm and Angus to keep repeating what you are doing, and you will be famous. Good advice.

In October 2015, Australian Hardrock Beer came out into the public at the same time AC/DC’s world tour “Rock or Bust”. Mostly sold in Australia with the grocery chain Aldi. Eventually sold in the U.S.A.

German brewer Karlsberg (not same as the famous Danish Carlsberg) produced this fine 5% alcohol lager which comes in cans or a 5-liter keg. In 2022 AC/DC with collaboration of New York’s Great South Bay Brewery came out with “For Those About to Rock Ale” beer and launched in 33 States.

KISS – Destroyer Beer

Brewed in Sweden with Gene Simons and Paul Stanley KISS ‘Destroyer Beer’ was brewed in the German tradition.

This good tasting 4.7% alcohol Swedish beer was brewed by Kronleins Brygger and fully licensed by KISS. In 2011 KISS’s “Destroyer Beer” became available for sale.

Grateful Dead – Dogfish Head American Beauty

In 2013 Dogfish Head Craft Brewery produced a Pale Ale for the band Grateful Dead. Dogfish.com said it best, “American Beauty captures the spirit of the band’s 30 years.” This 7% alcohol Pale Ale was brewed with granola, honey and hops.

In 2019 the Grateful Dead released their Pale Ale as an “American Beauty Hazy Ripple”.

Rolling Stones – Rolling Hop

2012 is when Rolling Stones celebrated their 50th anniversary by launching a beer called Rolling Hop.

Brewed by Suntory Liquors Inc., the cans of Rolling Hop beer have the famous design of the lips and tongue. The Rolling Stones logo, designed by Jon Pasche in 1970. Acid was good in those days.

There are so many more rock bands with beer brands.

Stay tuned!
